The Asia-Pacific region has some of the fastest growing economies and highest population densities along the coast, where millions depend on its resources for food and livelihoods. As climate changes threaten the health and productivity of coasts, the people who rely on these resources become more vulnerable. CRC assists governments and civil society organizations in places such as Thailand, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, the Philippines and Pacific Island nations to help communities improve their ability to adapt to climate changes and increase their resilience to the impacts from these changes through a process of improved coastal planning and resource management.
