USAID Hay Tao Project in Madagascar

The Hay Tao Madagascar Team at the Global Forest Watch Summit in Washington D.C.

URI-CRC participated in the Global Forest Watch Summit of the World Resources Institute (WRI) in Washington, DC from June 18-19, 2019. URI-CRC is collaborating with WRI on the coastal and marine data tools for a new interdisciplinary biodiversity management portal being developed under the USAID Hay Tao Program for Madagascar. Madagascar sent an impressive delegation to the Summit including the Minister of Higher Education and Research (pictured above, far right) and the Minister of Environment who delivered the opening keynote of the Summit.
