The Rhode Island Bays, Rivers, and Watersheds Coordination Team is a standing interagency commission based in the Office of the Governor dedicated to the protection, management, restoration and sustainable development of Rhode Island’s fresh and marine waters and watersheds. The BRWCT conducts strategic interagency planning, fosters coordination of water management programs across government, promotes stakeholder engagement with water planning and management and targets state investments in science, monitoring, policy analysis, planning and management for Rhode Island’s aquatic environments and their human uses. The BRWCT has provided support to several CRC efforts. It currently provides funds for development of the Rhode Island Shoreline Change Special Area Management Plan (Beach SAMP).
