In this Fresh Water to Estuaries pilot site, the Coastal Resources Center worked with The Nature Conservancy and local constituencies in the Dominican Republic to develop an initial, “Level One” issue profile.

Based on key informant interviews, workshop inputs, and secondary data compilation, the profile reviewed the health of the Yuna river system and Samana Bay. Initial conclusions and recommendations for future study were provided as input for future decisions regarding Fresh Water to Estuaries.
