CRC Vision and Approach

Our vision is for communities to be capable, effective stewards of their coasts and oceans. With a hopeful spirit, they apply science and best-management practices to innovate and produce solutions, promoting stability today and growth for generations to come.

CRC believes keeping our coasts healthy and productive is not about applying technical fixes to technical problems. Rather, it is about helping those who live, work, and play along our coasts to engage in dialogue and promote the good governance that can keep this critical ecosystem healthy and productive. Our approach is to provide professional services that include policy development, planning, technical assistance, outreach, public/stakeholder meeting facilitation, practitioner workshops and courses, and social-science research–to focus on the what and why of the real problems coasts are facing today.
