While most CRC work is carried out through country or site-specific projects, many of our initiatives also span multiple countries and regions or are applicable irrespective of place. These global initiatives include CRC international courses which bring together coastal policy-makers, practitioners and other governmental and nongovernmental coastal stakeholders to build skills and to share experiences, to engage in honest dialogue and to learn about issues related to today’s coasts and coastal peoples. CRC staff members are regularly invited to be keynote speakers and organizers of high-level panels at international forums on important coastal, marine and ocean issues to discuss and make recommendations on the way forward for our world’s coasts. CRC also regularly publishes articles in respected international research, academic and technical journals and other periodicals to ensure that our experiences and approaches reach a global audience and have far-reaching impacts.
