The Coastal Resources Center (CRC) worked with three other National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) panels to produce a final report to NOAA with recommendations for meeting user needs for dissemination and outreach for storm surge information. The project identified: 1) the current level of use of storm surge data and models, 2) improved modes of communication in storm surge forecasts, and 3) existing obstacles for full use of storm surge information.
