This project has improved Tanzania’s capacity to apply earth observation data and enabling technologies to natural resource management problems. As a result of project activities, the country’s National Environmental Management Council (NEMC) improved its ability to carry out a sustained effort that has the staying power required so that data collected from the field and from satellites can be used for a myriad of management purposes, including the monitoring of changes over time.
