The Coastal Resources Management Project (CRMP) supported selected research activities where these could provide a demonstrably practical application to field activities. Such investments were directed at the major agents of change in the field projects such as shrimp mariculture, tourism development, and alternative approaches to community-based stewardship of mangrove wetlands and coral reefs.
