Tell Me a Story: Redesigning Oakland Beach, Rhode Island Sea Grant, January 27, 2016 (alternative version)

Profiles University of Rhode Island students’ design studio projects aimed at improving the beach’s resiliency to storms and erosion using green design. The class partnered with RI GRIP.

“The students say that… flooding, storm surge and sea level rise… are (complicating factors) that are sure to recur if they continue working in a coastal area… “Being a landscape architect in this time … [the environment] is an important consideration,” explains (Zachary) Driver, one of the students.”
