Coastal Resources Management Project

Global Leadership

The Coastal Resources Management Program (CRMP) worked to advance a global integrated coastal management (ICM) agenda that drew upon the emerging concepts and tools that produce effective and equitable coastal governance. These activities spanned efforts to catalyze increased USAID Mission interest in ICM and participation in such high-level global conferences as the 1995 United Nations Conference on the Environment and Development and the 2002 Johannesburg Conference (World Summit on Sustainable Development).
