The MPA Management Effectiveness Methodology was tested in four CB-MPA field sites. Two were in Southern Leyte, Philippines (Maasin and Hinundayan). The other two sites were in North Sulawesi, Indonesia (Blongko and Serie). The Provincial Coastal Management Offices assisted the local communities in implementing their monitoring plans by providing training in how to apply the indicators and in analyze the data for reporting. Results of the monitoring were posted.
