The main goals of this demonstration project were to improve the status of the environment and its ecosystems through integrated management, to resolve user conflicts, to foster appropriate development of the coast through improved decision-making, to improve the livelihoods of local communities through the provision of income, and to address social issues linked to coastal resource use.
