CRC is working with the coastal communities of North Kingstown and Newport to identify assets, resources and infrastructure threatened by climate change impacts, such as sea level rise, and to strengthen key planning documents, such as Community Comprehensive Plans, with adaptation policies and practices to ensure people and property are protected.  The project also provides the Rhode Island Climate Change Adaptation Municipal Forum, an information exchange network for community planning staff looking to connect to state and private sector partners on climate change issues.
