Climate change impacts such as increased storminess and rising sea levels create new issues regarding the long-term protection of coastal lands designated for conservation or open space. In Rhode Island, CRC works with partners, such as the South Kingstown Land Trust, to develop policies and practices so coastal properties can be protected from, or adapted to, flooding and erosion from storms and sea level rise.
