Training and Education
Effective coastal stewardship requires changes in behavior at the societal scale. This in turn demands inspired leadership from a generation of professionals with a special combination of skills, knowledge and values. CRC sees the education of these agents of change as its most lasting contribution to the goals of coastal governance. Capacity building is central to all that we do and spans efforts at strengthening both institutions and individuals at the community, national, regional, and international levels. Our approach includes learning-by-doing in our field programs, specialized training events, undergraduate and graduate courses, internships, peer reviews and exchanges of personnel among programs.Current CRC Activities linked to this Objective
