CRC is facilitating for the state a Rhode Island Shoreline SAMP Stakeholder Process to ensure that a wide array of public, private and community partners come together with scientists from the University of Rhode Island (URI) to understand the erosion issues demolishing parts of the state’s shoreline and comprehend the policy measures and best practices that can be implemented and bolstered to address climate change impacts. The process involves gathering perspectives from the stakeholders, as well as their comments on the regulatory measures, and providing them with education opportunities, such as researcher presentations and library lectures.
